• 1. Transmission/Drivetrain

  • 2008 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 has had 3 transmissions replaced, as well as 3 sets of transmission lines (mostly front-end parts).
    
  • Consumer reported a hole the size of a golf ball in the engine block while passing a slower car on a paved highway.
    
  • Recall for replacement parts not available in a reasonable time frame to repair airbag inflator issues.
    

• 2. Steering/Suspension

  • Front end tie rods, struts, sway bars, wheel bearings, rack and pinion, steering pump have needed replacements or repairs.
    
  • Steering wheel locking up, causing loss of control and requiring vehicle to be towed.
    

• 3. Brakes

  • Brakes locking up and smoking while driving over 50 mph on the highway, leading to rotors, calipers, and pads needing replacement.
    
  • Rear wheel cylinder faulty, causing constant brake engagement and wear to below safe limits.

  • Turn signals activating the wrong indicator, wipers and headlights malfunctioning, radio static, and ongoing issues with the airbag system.
